Evidently the anti-war movement decided that this cold November weekend was a great one in which to block the movement of military equipment at the port city of Olympia, Washington. Fortunately, law enforcement had other things in mind. The leftist scumbags were herded up and arrested after being subdued with batons and pepper spray.
Neighboring Oregon should take heed on how to deal with insurrectionists like these. Portland particularly has an infestation of these issues. If Oregon wants to raise taxes for something, maybe it should do so to build a prison for these criminals who are actively engaged in subverting the war effort.
Kudos to the riot response team in Olympia. If anything, you showed too much restraint.

Wake up.
You are a mindless sheep.
Resistance is healthy.
Those “criminals” don’t deserve to be in prison.
You do for being such a brainless idiot that eats whatever bullshit the U.S. feeds you.
I bet you love junk food too.
Sicko

You are fighting against the majority.

Perhaps we can actually engage in dialogue here, not insults and stereotypes. I understand this is a blog and there is a bias to begin with, however, to immediately asses the protesters as “leftist scumbags” or bums shows little thought. People that exercise there rights and risk arrest usually have logical, well thought and well read reasons for doing what they do. It is a fact that the majority of Americans opposed to the war, including those doing direct action events, have some background of higher education or live in or near a city, also a concentration area of those with college educations. Is it possible that the more we know and learn the less we are able to turn from obvious truths? So I challenge everyone here to engage in civil dialog that doesn’t revert to childish ignorance with name-calling and assumptions. (Show a little brain power)

I meant to write “assess”, not asses (speaking of brain power!).

“You are fighting against the majority.”
The majority of people were home on Sunday watching the football game, attending religious services, or doing other activities besides rioting.

I’ll be your Huckleberry

You are right about this site being biased. I am biased against radical leftists who riot, destroy property, and create civil unrest to advance their causes. Quite a bit actually. At the same time, my scorn and disdain for them is no more than that I have for illegal immigrants, drug dealers, murderers, pedophiles, and rapists. So with that said, please don’t think my dislike for such people is inordinately greater than it is for other destructive elements in society.
“It is a fact that the majority of Americans opposed to the war, including those doing direct action events, have some background of higher education or live in or near a city, also a concentration area of those with college educations.”
I have some background in higher education. I also live near a city. (Cincinnati to be exact) If a college education is what is needed to shine some light on this issue, the evidently I need to demand a refund for all of the classes I took at both institutions of higher learning I attended- both accredited institutions by the way.
“Is it possible that the more we know and learn the less we are able to turn from obvious truths? So I challenge everyone here to engage in civil dialog that doesn’t revert to childish ignorance with name-calling and assumptions. (Show a little brain power)”
Well it’s obvious that progress has been made in the war in Iraq. It’s also obvious that the surge is working. It should also be obvious that for the most part, the millions of people in this country with higher education were sitting at home Sunday and not rioting. To me, that tells me that, despite their feelings on the war, they are for the most part productive members of society who aren’t interfering with the war effort. With them I have no quarrel.
