I like to visit the good doctor’s blog from time to time. This morning, I found this delectable morsel from her personal life that she decided to share with the world:
Now I have to clean the kitchen because the babysitter is going to pick him up at the after-school program in a couple of hours and bring him home for dinner before she takes him to a skate party while Mr. B. and I go talk to a therapist about the fight we had this weekend in which I threw a tantrum and deliberately smashed a glass on the bathroom floor. (Then of course I had to sweep and vacuum. Talk about your pyrrhic gestures.)
Tee hee! I love you Bitch Phd. Do you know why? Here are a few reasons:
- Entertainment. No one but Chuck Currie and some of the morons at DailyKos can put on such a vaudeville act that clearly strips away any vestiges of academic authority and reveals one to be but a pathetic member of the hoi polloi.
- You show us what feminists are really like. Your rhetoric notwithstanding, your lack of self control pretty much shows the world what feminists are- a bunch of angry little brats who break stuff, whether it be glasses, marriages, homes, or the fabric of society in general. When we read about your little fits, we aren’t just reading about you. We are reading about all militant feminists. Your blog paints feminism in more fitting colors than even my most vehement denigration could scarcely accomplish. Thanks!
- I’ll never have to worry about you working for a decent university. Being that there can’t be too many militant feminists with doctoral degrees who dress up as Harry Potter characters for Halloween and live in open marriages (and have anger issues), I am sure your anonymous persona is less anonymous than you think. Most employers don’t hire people with a known history of anger issues. You can terrorize your husband all you want and he’ll probably keep you around, but the first little fit you throw in the classroom will result in you being shown the door.
With that said, I can enjoy my day a little bit better knowing that whatever problems I may have, yours are certainly worse. So thanks for the spring you added to my step on this first day of October. It is a very beautiful day here in southeastern Indiana, even if it is overcast.
