Chuck Currie Uses Google (Details at 11)

April 21, 2008

Evidently when he is not advocating for the rabid-left’s agenda, Chuck Currie is busy Googling himself. Tonight I found this morsel in my comments queue from the man himself. Since I write quite a bit on this blog about him that is not very flattering, he is due his right of reply. (I am also due my own rebuttal.)

I just discovered this web site during a Google search. From the lack of comments and traffic it would appear you do not receive regular visitors.

It depends on what I post on. My Jeremiah Wright posts got quite a bit of hits. I don’t really promote this site as its a hobby.

You seem somewhat obsessed with my activities. Attacking my very public views while hiding behind a screen name is just as dishonorable as a Klan member covered with their hood. Try taking responsibility for your own views. Yes, there are risks when you engage in public life. But for democracy to thrive we need all of our citizens to become involved with the process in honest ways.

I must congratulate you Chuck. You wrote several complete sentences before making a comparison of my blog to the Ku Klux Klan. For the record, I do not condone, support, or believe in racial bigotry and while my views are ultra-conservative, they do not involve the types of activities the Klan has historically taken part in. While you may feel that the scorn and mockery I give your views are as bad as a lynching, there are plenty of victims of the Ku Klux Klan who would see your comparison as petty and facile.

As for my anonymity, this is explained on my about page. To clarify, I do not want my views to adversely reflect upon my employeer(s), coworkers, friends, family, religious/technical affiliations, and so forth. Believe it or not, I don’t eat puppies, don’t burn Barak Obama in effigy, or go out on Saturday nights and go gay bashing. I like to do normal things and have normal interests, including family. I’d rather not have my wife known as “the lady married to the crazy guy who writes for Dawn @ 366 Mhz.” While I don’t mind the attention, I’m sure she might.

We do not need to use our voices to tear down other people – as you seem to do here – but rather we need all of us involved in an effort to build up the common good. Your anger comes up clearly but I would encourage you to come out the dark place you know find yourself, be open about who you are, and see if the sunlight doesn’t change your views – maybe soften to your heart. In the meantime, I will pray again tonight that all Earth’s people become reconciled to God and to one another. – Rev. Chuck Currie

I truly appreciate your sentiments and I believe you mean well. This blog however is meant to piss people off. It is meant to make people angry about our border insecurity, illegal immigrants taking advantadge of the generosity of the American taxpayer, that since 1973, over 45,000,000 children were deprived of the right to see the light of day, and so on.

I realize you share none of my views and I don’t write this blog to convince you. You will never change my mind and I do not expect to change yours. You and I share one common trait- we are both persuaded in our views to the point we will most likely never change. Our views of justice, peace, prosperity, and the public good, different as they may be, are pretty much set in stone. As weird as I think many of your ideals are, I at least respect that you have them and can state them eloquently.

Maybe one day when I feel this blog has achieved my aims, humble as they may be, I will be able to engage you more constructively in dialogue. I doubt that you have an arcane lab in your basement where you dissect live children and animals and you and I probably have some common interest somewhere (besides blogging and pushing our social agendas)

So yeah, you are a weirdo liberal dude who I will always consider a weirdo liberal dude, but thats cool. In the deep recesses of your mind you see me as an aberration and thats okay. It’s a free country and you can think as you please, even though your man is going to get creamed in November’s election. ;-)

Obama vs. Small Town America

April 12, 2008

“And it’s not surprising then they [memebers of small town America] get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

Thank you Barak. Thank you for making it clear you are an elitist jerk. McCain can bark like a seal in November and still kick your ass.

A Good Article on the UCC and Chuck Currie

Jeffrey Lord opens a can on the UCC-Obama-Currie lovefest here. Good writing!

Poor Jeremiah Wright…

March 27, 2008

Oh nos!!! Religious leaders are angry because Hillary (whom I care little about) attacked Obama’s former pastor and went so far to say that he would “not be her pastor.” Now several of them have written a letter to Clinton demanding that she back off.

First let’s be clear on something. The Constitution guarantees the right of religious people to practice and exercise their faith without fear of intimidation, violence, or criminal penalty. Jeremiah Wright has been afforded this same protection and he has been allowed through the magnanimity of the US Government to call down hellfire and brimstone on the same unimpeded.

Even though the Constitution grants Wright the ability to mouth off like a moron, it does not protect him from the opinions of those who think he is a rabble-rouser who forgot when the Sixties ended. I’m free to say I think Wright is an idiot and belongs in an asylum and Hillary Clinton is free to say whatever she believes about him. (She’s been rather charitable if you ask me.)

Just because you are a person of the cloth and the Constitution protects the exercise of your religion doesn’t mean you can act like a dumbass and people somehow have to pretend every word that proceeds out of your mouth is golden. I’m sure if John McCain’s pastor had been Fred Phelps, the people defending Obama would have attacked McCain and burned him in effigy. (And rightfully so)

Up Yours, Obama

March 24, 2008

The point I was making was not that my grandmother, uh, harbors, uh, any racial animosity. She doesn’t, but she is a, uh, typical white person, who, if she sees somebody on the street that she doesn’t know, you know, there’s a reaction that’s been bred into our experiences that — that don’t go away, and that sometimes, uh, come out in — in the wrong way. Barak Obama

Thanks for making it obvious about what you think about white people- that we all run scared when we see someone who looks different from us and that we all have black boogeymen we think are hiding under our beds. Truth be told, had you not been a liberal hack who wants to retreat from Iraq, make the middle class pay for all your dreamsicle ideas, and utter the above words of stupidity, I would have been moved by your overall likeability to possibly vote for you. Thanks for clearing up the matter of what you think about “typical white people” though.

Ashley Alexandra Dupre Is A Whore

March 16, 2008

Whether she gets paid $10 an hour or $1000, it matters not. If she were working the streets of Cincinnati, she’d be in prison by now. Instead, she is still free to enlist a lawyer who claims her rights were violated when her MySpace photos were put on TV.

I’ve viewed her MySpace page, wondering what sort of person she is. I wanted to feel pity for her initially- a young girl caught up in a political scandal and all. When you read her website on MySpace, it is clear this is a little girl obscessed with money, even if it means spreading her legs for amorous old men.

Unfortunately, our society celebrates this type of lifestyle. Rather than being ridiculed as a overpriced whore, she is looked at as sexy, even admirable. Years ago this behavior would not have been tolerated. Dupre would have been placed in jail and shunned by respectable people everywhere. Unfortunately, with the carnival that is the modern media, decent people are forced to look at her as she is portayed in a positive light.

So as not to be accused of being prejudicial against women, let me be clear. Spitzer also is a filthy excuse for a person. He also clearly belongs in jail. He used the money that the people of New York paid to him in the form of a salary to enlist the sexual services of this little bitch. Both of them are shameless examples of individuals whose lust and greed have outgrown their self-control.

I’m fully in favor of expanding the death penalty. I think for those who work as whores or run with them, it is a fitting punishment.

The Christian View, or Protestantism Done in 1-bit Color

November 24, 2007

First some clarification. This blog is written from a sincere point of view. When I say, “Bring back the Sedition Act” or “Put Chuck Currie in jail for sedition.” I mean it. There are blogs and websites that are also for the sake of satire. Some of them are clearly satirical and are in relatively good taste. (I particularly enjoy The Onion.) Others, such as the Landover Baptist site are not only in poor taste, they aren’t even funny.

Evidently, we can add The Christian View to the list of satirical sites. While I initially considered this site to be legit and even agreed with much of the sentiment expressed by some of the earlier posts I read, I began noticing the posts were becoming increasingly bizarre. I also questioned “Pastor Joshua’s” motives behind linking to Westboro Baptist Church (Fred Phelp’s lovely creation), to which I have received no reply to this day.

Having seen the bizarre nature of many of the most recent posts, and the associations with other satirical sites such as Landover Baptist, I am forced to conclude that either “Pastor Joshua” is a fabrication made by those interested in discrediting conservatism and Protestantism or is run by the most mindless group of morons in the world. I am inclined to believe the former. I may be wrong, although it would be the first time I have been surprised by the degree of stupidity exhibited by a group of people.

Why I Hope Hillary Receives the Democratic Nomination

November 19, 2007

She will be easy to beat. Whether the GOP settles on Giuliani, Romney, or even Ron Paul (God forbid), Hillary will be forced to deal with the fact that because of policies supported by the GOP, there has not been a subsequent attack by al Qaeda on the United States for seven years. She will also be unable to take “the high ground.” on the War on Terror like Barak Obama, and there are enough questions about her integrity that most voters with any scruples would run from her in a heart beat.

This isn’t to say she would do badly. I figure the election would be close, with her getting at least twenty percent of the popular vote, Romney or Giuliani getting about 70 percent with the rest going to third party candidates. While this appears generous, keep in mind a lot of her votes will be invalidated as felons and illegal immigrants are not allowed to vote.

All Is Quiet…

October 26, 2007

Pardon the relative quiet around here. I’ve been occupied between my two jobs and school. Between those and family commitments, blogging has been a rather low priority.

I enjoy blogging quite a bit, and I have enjoyed this blog immensely and look forward to continue writing it. A lot of the content is, admittedly, in your face. I am neither a psychologist or a diplomat, so tact, for the purposes of this blog, are counter-productive. When I write, it is my intention to write to make readers angry. Somehow, society has forgotten that anger can be a constructive mechanism for positive change.

The world certainly needs a large degree of this positive change. A lot of people disagree on what should be changed and how this change should be effected. As a conservative, the following are my primary points of contention:

  • The federal government has become too large and inefficient through unconstitutional usurpation of matters that states and local governments should be concerned with.
  • Our military is no longer held in esteem by the general public and even elected officials. We need another “Great White Fleet” that inspires the same fear and reverence in foreign powers that Roosevelt’s did.
  • Our energy dependence is frightening
  • We have tolerated the UN for long enough.
  • Our highways, bridges, and transportation infrastructure are hurting from neglect.
  • Our borders are bleeding with illegal immigrants who commit a crime just by crossing into our territory without our permission and go on to commit more crimes.

The solutions to these problems are more painful than a lot of us, conservative or liberal would like to admit. Our society depends on able leaders with a vision for America’s greatness. Instead, we have been plagued by partisans on both sides of the fence too occupied with their airport restroom romps or campaign finance scandals to concern themselves with trivial issues such as the welfare of the public.

This is one of many reasons why I blog, to be a plague to drooling liberals, moonbat libertarians, and conservatives that are afraid to be conservatives alike.

I Do Not Kill Puppies or Nuns in My Spare Time

October 17, 2007

Despite what you may have heard, I am quite normal in my daily activities. Unlike leftists in the blogosphere who have declared themselves to be the expert on everything on account of having too much time to watch cable television all day(having a full time job would help with that), I *gasp* work a full time job. In addition, I work approximately fifteen hours a week for a local school district assisting the Technical Coordinator in maintaining over a thousand machines and the district network. As busy as I am, I make sure to devote time to personal interests as well:

Reading.I enjoy reading. Whether it is an O’Reilly text on Linux, a well-written book on American history, or something written on theology (Erasmus is one of the few Catholics who seemed to “get it”), I enjoy books. I also subscribe to Linux Journal and Mac World. These I consider pleasure reading.

Travel. I enjoy travel whenever I have the opportunity. One of my favorite travel destinations is Colorado. I have also been to North Carolina and may have the chance to visit Oklahoma next March. One of my most coveted destinations is New Mexico.

Music. I love iTunes. This legal music download service is great and I have a sizable music library. I love burning CDs and making custom mixes.

My Wife.I enjoy being married. My wife is sexy, intelligent, and fun to be with. She is also loyal, honest, and hard-working. I enjoy spending time with her, whether we are just running out to Wal-Mart or having dinner together.

Things that, despite belief to the contrary I do not indulge in include:

Torturing small animals. I cannot condone this. While PETA is filled with a bunch of crusaders against fried chicken, the only harm I want to do to chickens in general is to bread them and deep fry them. Buffalo chicken tenders are great. Other than that, I have no problems with living chickens as long as they understand their time is limited and that they might end up in my stomach.

Urinating on the Koran. I have no problem with the Koran. Every church ought to have a copy to have as a reference work on the mythology that is Islam. I prefer to urinate in the toilet, or behind a bush failing the presence of said toilet.

Burning crosses/wearing white hoods. I have no desire to do any of these activities. As a Christian, burning crosses is something I consider sacrilegious. I also think the Ku Klux Klan is one of those organizations decent people should avoid. Not only are there no membership perks, but people tend to be afraid of you if you are in the Klan. Besides that, as soon as you identify yourself as belonging to “the Master race” people tend to not take anything you say seriously anymore.

Working for Haliburton. No I am not on their payroll. I wouldn’t mind it if they had an opening for an aspiring Linux/UNIX admin.

Making voodoo dolls depicting left wing nutjobs: Practicing voodoo is one of those million surefire ways of entering Hell. I’d prefer to minimize my chances of going to Hell. Besides, as far as liberals go, no pain caused by voodoo will equal the pain and grief they must endure from society mocking and scorning them and their ideas.

Throwing darts at pictures of Barak Obama, George Soros, Janeane Garafallo, etc. I wouldn’t have pictures of either of these three in my home to begin with, so this precludes this as a possibility.

I hope I have cleared up some misconceptions. I want to be absolutely clear on this. While I would love to have a Club Gitmo shirt for Christmas (Hey Chris Currie, that’s a hint!), I do not- I repeat, do NOT have the 1845 piece Gitmo Lego  Builder Set. (I bought that strictly for my daughter to play with!)
