According to this convoluted blog, the Almighty is greatly enraged with the fact that I use Linux.
These Microsoft fanboys are something else. Now they are pretending to be Christian bloggers. You Windows lovers have no shame!

First some clarification. This blog is written from a sincere point of view. When I say, “Bring back the Sedition Act” or “Put Chuck Currie in jail for sedition.” I mean it. There are blogs and websites that are also for the sake of satire. Some of them are clearly satirical and are in relatively good taste. (I particularly enjoy The Onion.) Others, such as the Landover Baptist site are not only in poor taste, they aren’t even funny.
Evidently, we can add The Christian View to the list of satirical sites. While I initially considered this site to be legit and even agreed with much of the sentiment expressed by some of the earlier posts I read, I began noticing the posts were becoming increasingly bizarre. I also questioned “Pastor Joshua’s” motives behind linking to Westboro Baptist Church (Fred Phelp’s lovely creation), to which I have received no reply to this day.
Having seen the bizarre nature of many of the most recent posts, and the associations with other satirical sites such as Landover Baptist, I am forced to conclude that either “Pastor Joshua” is a fabrication made by those interested in discrediting conservatism and Protestantism or is run by the most mindless group of morons in the world. I am inclined to believe the former. I may be wrong, although it would be the first time I have been surprised by the degree of stupidity exhibited by a group of people.
I’m not sure what its for, but evidently the people at The Christian View- British Baptists think highly of me. Well great. Unfortunately, after initially checking their blog out and thinking we had some common ground, I became gravely disappointed. I discovered their link to Westboro Baptist Church, that circus run my Fred Phelps and his deranged, rabid family, which caused some red flags. I emailed “Pastor Joshua” several days ago to find out just how far he agreed with Phelps and have heard little answer. Evidently, he has been unable or unwilling to answer that questions.
Another contributor to the site, “Brother Izzy”, believes cats are “the Devil’s familiar.” His post on this topic is one of extremely convoluted logic, and I say that not particularly liking cats myself either.
Perhaps most tragically of all is Brother Izzy’s post entitled “Treat women like a good Christian should.” Evidently, that entails dehumanizing them and treating them as nothing more than domestic slaves and objects for sexual gratification. While I am certainly no egalitarian, I believe that the Scriptures define a very dignified role within the marriage for the woman and that her husband is required to honor and cherish her. Unfortunately, this is all lost upon the good Brother Izzy.
I am a fairly conservative guy. I can even be mean, harsh, and somewhat crude. These guys escalate the rhetoric beyond what is necessary and have the sense of a rabid dog. I’m afraid I don’t feel very honored in receiving their “award.”
Rev. John Thomas and Linda Jaramillo were arrested for disobeying three seperate orders to leave a no-protest zone in front of the White House. Video here.
I don’t know what part of obeying the law the Religious Left doesn’t get. I am also amazed at how little they seem to comprehend the fact that while the American people may be weary of war and have cause for disputing how it has been waged, the majority of our people support our troops and are unwilling to pull out prematurely.
While I am certain their intentions are certainly noble, or rather, they believe their intentions are noble, they are toxic members of our society and need to be contained. They seek to weaken our resolve to combat terror, subvert our military, and bring shame to those who have fought against terrorist.
Make no mistake. While the immediate context of Iraq (and to a lesser extent Iran) is the clearest, the antiwar movement is by and large opposed to warfare in toto. To them, it is a responsible government that refuses to defend itself or its people against killers and thugs like al Qaeda. In their convoluted logic, war for any reason is a noli me tangere and our military is a waste of resources.
What is left to do? Imprison them? Put them on trial for treason? What do you do with puerile and clearly out of touch religious mongrels who impugn our military and the cause of the war on terror? You cannot talk to them as reasonable folk. They cannot be persuaded of the dangers of letting terrorists roam free and alive. They would allow the flames to overtake us.
The only thing to do with them is to remove their ability to advance their cause. Blacklist them, their churches, and their civic organizations. Label them as the moralistic cowards they are who use religion to advance their pacifists goals. The federal government should sue them for the damage created by the propaganda they generate and distribute.
The First Amendment ends when it comes to sedition. When religious leaders use their pulpits to encourage men and women to refuse military service, desert, or otherwise become disloyal, the First Amendment is no longer the issue.
The hardest part of the matter is where to make prison space for all of these whackjobs.
I absolutely love this woman. Not because she is always right. Not because she is particularly eloquent. Not even because she is particularly learned or educated. The reason I admire Ann Coulter is because she says what she believes without fear of contempt.
Her recent comments regarding Jews have elicited quite a bit of controversy, even from fellow conservatives such as Michael Savage. Her liberal-minded detractors are doing their utmost to turn this into a case of anti-Semitism, which is quite laughable, as Ann Coulter’s comments constitute nothing more than a disagreement on religious beliefs.
The last time I checked, disagreeing with someone’s religious beliefs was considered protected speech. There is nothing hateful in wishing for the conversion of the Jews to Christ. Paul of Tarsus, a Jew by birth, wished for this very thing. The Apostles preached to the Jews and Peter, a Jew himself, stringently castigated his countrymen for their role in killing their Messiah.
On the other hand, the Jews despised Paul and wished him dead. When Stephen preached to them, they stopped not at merely wishing, but proceeded to stone him to death. Now I ask, when you have on one hand a group of people armed with rocks and on the other a young man struck down in the prime of life over a religious dispute, who hated whom?
Ann Coulter may be bombastic and extreme in her views. She may even be rather crude. She even says things that hurt people’s feelings. At the end of the day, Ann Coulter has done nothing to harm anyone, Jew or otherwise.
In particular, their article regarding San Francisco’s Quixotic campaign against Michael Savage’s right to free speech.
The author makes an excellent point about terrorism:
Though the September 11th attack brought terrorism to the forefront of the public’s attention, it also created the impression that in order to qualify for such a designation that the act in question had to involve massive loss of life and a catastrophic destruction of property. For since then, it seems officials simply refuse to apply the label to incidents smaller in scale such as when a lunatic shot up an Israeli ticket counter at an LA airport on July 4, 2002.
It use to be taught and accepted that terrorism was the use or threat of violence to achieve political ends. Though the only ones threatened with actual bodily harm are the hunger strikers themselves, if those threatening to do themselves harm think we have some kind of ethical obligation to meet their demands, how is this all that different than what the terrorists expect if liberals claim their is no distinction between the harm inflicted upon the innocent and the harm fanatics might inflict upon themselves?
Clearly, the leftists are guilty of employing terroristic methods against the government and its people. While they do not resort to physical acts of violence against other people, they employ such tactics as hunger strikes to demoralize the American people with regard to immigration enforcement. While less bloody than using guns or bombs, it is equally insidious.
Perhaps even more pernicious is the Religious Left’s use of fasting, traditionally adhered to among Christians for spiritual edification and devotional purposes, as a means of making politically charged statements. One such example is mentioned by Chris Tessone at Even the Devils Believe. His post links to InterfaithFast.org, a leftist religious organization calling for an end to the war in Iraq.
Not that this is by any means an unworthy goal. I too want to see the war in Iraq come to an end with an American victory, a demolished al Qaeda, and a Gulf region that comes to know that America means business every time we intervene in that area. No more, no less.
Author at Culture Dove, the one stop shopping center for pacifists and cowards everywhere, Ian Lynch is now openly advocating on Chuck Currie’s blog that American soldiers in Iraq refuse their orders to engage the enemy.
Perhaps we need to leave troops in Iraq with a no-shoot order, simply there to help but not kill, understanding they may need to offer their lives. I can’t imagine our government every [sic] instituting such a policy, but it would be in keeping with the doctrine of the Christian church for the first three centuries (soldiers who became Christians were instructed not to kill).
This shows how far out of touch with reality leftists are. They expect the average American soldier to go into a firestorm with their hands tied and under orders to not fire on their enemies. Ian Lynch is clearly a subversive member of a small but vocal pacifist elite. They bear watching, because it is these sort who take part in sabotage, propaganda, and espionage. They seek to weaken the hands of our military personnel under the banner of theology, aiding our enemies at home and abroad.
Lynch needs to be interred in Guantanamo for a couple years for some serious rehabilitation. He and Chuck Currie can share a cell.
I’ve devoted a disproportionately small amount of space on this blog to theological issues, which I would like to rectify. I feel that it is only fair that I disclose my theological leanings when criticizing those of others.
I currently hold to traditional Reformed doctrine and am an unrepentant Five Point Calvinist. This has caused me to run afoul of many. Understandably, Unitarians are liable to run away in terror when they discover I believe God will send them to Hell for their unbelief as well as the unbelief they teach others. Even some Evangelicals feel threatened, as they realize my beliefs on free will are 180 degrees removed from theirs.
I am an amillenialist, which to me, makes the most sense out of all of the teachings on eschatology. I don’t believe that the Mark of the Beast is a computer chip implanted in the arm, brain, or whatever part of the body is fashionable this year.
I believe in Christ as the true and very Son of God and that He possesses the same qualities that make both the Father and Spirit holy and Diety. Those who deny this are false teachers and heretics.
I believe that the Church is made up of those who God has regenerated to faith. Catholicism is to be rejected and the Pope to be regarded as antichrist.
There are two and only two ordinances particular to the Church, baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Anything beyond this are man-made and of no authority whatsoever.
I believe that God intends a man to marry a woman and to have as many children as circumstances will allow and that they can joyfully raise. I am opposed to the killing of the unborn through abortion and I am opposed to observing sodomy as anything but a filthy spectacle carried about by wicked people.
I believe God intends the United States to be a nation led by Christian principles. These include a dedication to the truth contained in the Scriptures, a passion for the arts and sciences to the glory of God and the edification of His people, and for making this continent one of peace and prosperity.
From Chuck Currie’s recent blog entry, “Will the Religious Right Bolt the GOP?“:
Anyone want to guess what candidate they’d run?
James Dobson himself? Alan Keyes? Anne Coulter? Eric Rudolph? David Duke?
Okay Chuck. You win the booby prize for this remark. The attempt at comparing members of the Religious Right with a convicted murderer and Klansman is libelious in nature. Your typical evangelical Christian does not condone murder and they do not condone the Klan.
Let me repeat that so you can take it in. The attempt at comparing members of the Religious Right with a convicted murderer and Klansman is libelious in nature. Your typical evangelical Christians do not condone murder and they do not condone the Klan.
I know the character of the Religious Left to know that they will never repudiate a false statement such as the one you made to the effect that the Religious Right would tolerate Eric Rudolph in any context. As a conservative-leaning individual (both politically and theologically), I believe Rudolph should have been hung and that Duke is a waste of space, both for his white supremacy views and his trouble with the law.
I also know how dearly you and your cohorts love to play the race card. Scare people with images of lynchings and you can screw up enough of the frightened hoi polloi to go allong with you. Use Eric Rudolph as an incantation, and you can muster a few reluctant allies.
You owe evangelicals an apology. You owe your readers an explanation for why you smear Americans as fellow travelers to racists and murderers on account of the fact that they refuse to embrace your personal vision for America.
Obviously you will continue on in your hubris. In your mind you owe nothing to anyone. Which is fine by me.
The majority of the people who live in this country as citizens, either through birth or legal naturalization reject what the Religious Left has to offer. Even in states such as Illinois- well known for producing liberal stooges like Barak Obama, the people of the city of Aurora rejected a Planned Parenthood facility when it came to light what sort of facility was being built in their community.
Your policies on gay marriage and immigration have also largely failed. Not to a handful of politicians making deals in smoke-filled rooms, but to a large grassroots movement. A grassroots movement that is larger and speaks louder than anything the Religious Left/MoveOn.org/George Soros could conjure up.
So let that sink in for a moment, k?
That you resort to attacking evangelicals and other similiarly-persuaded individuals is proof that the squeeze is on the Religious Left. The influence they promised their constituents, 90% of them are either Methodist/UCC/Unitarian, have failed to materialize. So instead of concluding that maybe your ideology isn’t going to sell, you find someone to blame.
It reminds me of when Netscape tried to blame Microsoft for its lousy browser adoption rate when Netscape built mostly crap. Unfortunately for the Religious Left, you haven’t found a way to sue us as Microsoft was.
Please keep blogging Chuck. You are doing more to undermine the Religious Left by your crude and asinine comments than an army of Ann Coulters could ever hope to.
Check out Chuck Currie’s whining on Simi Valley California’s decision to fine the United Church of Christ of Simi Valley $40,000 for the police presence required when protesters arrived at the church to demonstrate against their sheltering of an illegal alien. I share his outrage, as I am sure it cost the government, and hence the taxpayer more than $40,000 to get rid of this particular illegal alien.
Furthermore, why is the church still operating as a 503c?
